Taking place on Monday, May 5 at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City, the Gala will showcase the cultural and historical impact of Black dandyism.

Inspired by Monica L. Miller’s book Slaves to Fashion, this year’s exhibition examines how Black identity has been shaped through fashion and art over centuries, highlighting the role of self-styling in asserting autonomy and redefining status.
